What…girls on the boat
isn’t this a “no girls allowed club”
Calling out all the stops Erin and Bryn provided some excellent help over the past 2 days helping purchase and stow away $400 in pure calories from BJ’s wholsale (see shopping cart pics at Steve’s site) and $150 from Shaws supermarket, anyone ever tried egg beaters before? One of the few things not repaired was our refrigeration system but given the time of year and most likely average boat temp of around 40 for the foreseeable future I suspect we shall be good to go!
Awakening bright and early today and surprisingly calm given tomorrow at this time the lines shall be cast, “bon voyages” will be said and Team Audax shall set sail for the Cape Cod Canal. Successful repair of the autohelm (after a first attempt that had just starboard going port or for the land lubber turning right when you wanted left
), radar fuse replaced, life lines secured, navigation software checked out, extraneous tools removed, critical tools stored away, final safety supplies purchased, manual bilge tested, the shop vac coming off finally, 200 man hours later we are looking good. Mr. Heater loaded aboard, 30 gallons of diesel filled, decks to be swabbed today, clothes stowed away, a test sail, checking and rechecking of the weather and wind, domestic loose ends tied up (well as least band aided for the foreseeable future), a final dinner, a good nights rest, peace see you later gator…
