“When you do something, if you fix your mind on the activity with some confidence, the quality of your state of mind is the activity itself.”

You know you are in the islands when a 15 mile journey is perceived as being a long trek!! Functioning as a
38 foot water taxi this past Friday into Saturday the Audax enjoyed a beautiful reach sail from Road Town - down the Sir Frances Drake Channel, across the Narrows, into the Windward Passage and over Pillsbury Sound - narrowly avoiding a fleet of Opti sailboats and thus anchoring successfully in Red Hook on the east coast of St. Thomas. Not expecting much in the
way of excitement, god bless American Island culture as Red Hook really had it going on!!! Good times at Duffy’s Love Shack and Fat Boys and team Audax was reunited! Coinciding perfectly with the arrival
of Kate and some much welcomed contraband - a new dust buster (my recent repairs on “dusty” falling quite short) we weighed anchor and battened down the hatches. With our army now 4 instead of 2 we motored directly into the trades floating safely back into British territory 3 hours later only to say goodbye to Jordi and Kate for their 3 days of tropical paradise relaxation.
Being allowed back into the country, laundry detail, rugby and wi fi (England won) and falling asleep listening to the auctioneer at the governors house just off our aft quarter – hey why weren’t we invited - rounded out another day of play.
Bulletin: The hill in the center of Tortola is HIGH, LONG and STEEP!!! If and when you decide to run over it BE PREPARED and FOREWARNED!!! But look at these views!!
The photo taking phenomenon: When one boards the Audax for the first time in the Virgin Islands it can be assured that an inordinate amounts of digitalized images will be taken. Can you capture a moment as you are in the moment for just that moment??? See Steveys full album by clicking on this image here.

“Without any intentional, fancy way of adjusting yourself, to express yourself as you are is the most important thing.”
¡Vistas magníficas!
