Sitting at the Navigator Inn, across the street and a stones throw from where the Audax patiently awaits her first test
tomorrow as we venture to take her from the sure to be ice frosted wharf at 6 AM 90 nautical miles plus from Rockland to Freeport, exact number to be determined once I finish downloading and learn tonight how to use our navigation software. Frantically rushing today to bottom paint the final squares as she rested in the cradle, blood spewing from the other a result of plier mishap the electrican and launch crew watching from the sidlines surely thinking “so this guy and two others are really going to make it to the Caribbean, hmmm…. ”
The new Glass Matt Batteries are installed, navigational lights operational, bilge pumps working intermittently, still no propane stove or windlass, found more rott, cockpit hatchway left open all weekend with torrential downpours makes for fun find yesterday, stocks down today (aka my money to pay for the fix ups) gotta keep the eye on the prize

You know John, the difference between you and a “dreamer” is that you make yours come true. You are awesome.
I’m sure the others are too but I don’t know them.
I’ll be watching your journey. Be safe, be well.
