Ok, so at this stage I have begun to expect “so it looks like things are going to cost a little bit more due to x, y and z” or “the previous owners really F’ed up and it is not going quite so smoothly” From electrical rewiring by a nuclear electrician, new batteries, rigging and lifeline inspection so we don’t die!, the negotiation of purchases of a life raft and dinghy by Jordi, safety equipment by Steve, the search for workers to fix our leaks and repair our rot to include but certainly not limited to the famed Bruce Schwab who raced around the world on Ocean Planet and Phil Shelton 3 year circumnavigator and author of newly published World Voyagers, the discussions with Strout’s Point in Freeport and Knight Marine in Rockland, the hopeful first leg to Georgetown planned for this weekend so the experts named above can tell us what must be done over the next 504 hours to make it out of the state of Maine without sinking on a boat we don’t even officially own yet, christ!!!!!  Onward fearless Audax…
